Minecraft icon Clay “Dream” has responded to groomer allegations, and the internet is torn.
A few days ago, a burner account on Twitter shared some screenshots of Dream allegedly flirting with a teenage girl who he knowingly knew was around 16 years old. The anonymous person claimed Dream has a “history” of being “inappropriate with minors” for years.
The screenshots and videos were from Dream’s Snapchat during a time when Dream was 20. Followup screenshots showed two of Dream’s alleged friends discussing how the streamer confirmed that it was true.
Dream accused of grooming a minor
The burner account has claimed that they have filed a complaint with child protection authorities and are reaching out to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children after hearing about what happened with Dream.
The alleged messages to the minor include Dream calling them “sexy” and saying he would “tease the s—” out of her. Another said that he would “fill her up” after complimenting her breasts.
This is actually not the first time that Dream was accused of grooming minors. A burner account accused him of the same thing back in
October of 2022, sharing screenshots of Dream allegedly flirting with an underaged fan.
She tweeted at the time: “None of it is appropriate for a ‘fan’ and influencer to be this close, especially since I was still 17 and in school, and he knew that. It crosses the line when he’s sending me his huge house/inviting me.”
Dream responds to grooming allegations
Now that the issue has been brought up once more, Dream used his secondary Twitter account to address the ongoing accusations.
He claimed that he was about to fly, so he “didn’t have time” to gather more information about the alleged victim. He added that the internet is “cruel” and that “nobody wins” in this type of scenario.
Dream then told fans he would be making a video to go into more detail about the groomer allegations, continuing to state he is innocent.
For now, fans will have to wait for the video to find out if Dream is actually as innocent as he claims.
