Daph, Mizkif shave heads in support of Kyedae’s cancer treatment
Twitch streamer Kyedae Alicia Shymko had to shave her head after being diagnosed with cancer, and there has been an outpouring of support as Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo also shaved his head in solidarity.
Kyedae, known for her Valorant content, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a type of blood and bone marrow cancer. Although she looked physically fine at the time of the announcement, she mentioned that her streaming schedule might change due to cancer treatments.
Kyedae also revealed that she might shave her head before her hair starts falling out due to the illness.
Kyedae shaves head for chemotherapy
Recently, Kyedae ended up shaving her head to avoid her hair from falling out after chemotherapy. Daph was also spotted in a picture with a hairless scalp. Fans lauded the streamer for supporting Kyedae with her big decision.
In keeping with the tradition of keeping things lighthearted, Kyedae added a “boydae” tag to the caption, which garnered a positive response from her supporters.
But, it gets more wholesome. Kyedae has a massive fanbase and a close network of friends who sent best wishes when she announced her health update. So, naturally, Daph wasn’t the only one who supported Kyedae during this testing time.
Shortly after, popular Twitch streamer Mizkif shaved his head on a livestream to show support for Kyedae. During his livestream, Mizkif turned around and got bald with a trimmer, and he looked really pleased with the final result.
Mizkif’s action, as a prominent figure in the streaming community, is expected to inspire other content creators to show solidarity with Kyedae. But so far, it’s just Daph and Mizkif who have given up a head full of hair for Kyedae.
It’s a wholesome gesture, and more streamers will likely jump in to help Kyedae during this challenging time while she goes through cancer treatment.
