Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer Ludvig “Anomaly” Lagerstedt was casually discussing his computer specs when a viewer noticed something a bit more out of the ordinary.

Donning his CS:GO terrorist mask, Anomaly continued reading his Twitch chat out loud on his live stream.

“‘Why is there a gun on your desk?'” he read. “There is not…”

But then Anomaly looked over and immediately spotted the handgun. He snatched it off his desk and moved it out of view. But one of his 1 million Twitch followers had already clipped the moment, which can be seen here:

After that incident, Anomaly’s stream went on normally. But the clip already started a debate on how to properly store a gun on Reddit.

“I don’t have a problem with him having a gun,” one Reddit user, btd39, said. “But it’s not a good habit to have it lying around.”

He suggested that Anomaly put it in a secure location, or even have it on his person. Anywhere but just sitting on his desk, he concluded, where it can easily be forgotten.

Other Reddit users disagreed, stating that if Anomaly doesn’t have children, the location of his weapon is not entirely important.

Twitch has a rule that bans streamers from using weapons to “physically threaten, intimidate, harm, or kill others.” While his followers are speculating if Anomaly purposely left the gun visible to get a reaction from his viewers, simply having a firearm on camera does not appear to be bannable on the streaming platform.

Anomaly is a popular CS:GO personality who entertains his followers on Twitch and YouTube with gameplay and unboxing videos. He currently has over 2 million subscribers on YouTube. A recent video of him opening 64 CSGO cases has accumulated over 1.4 million views.

Before the gun incident on May 8, Anomaly was preparing to live stream another unboxing video for his followers.
