Codewise Unicorns have announced the signing of the Aristocracy roster. The organization released its previous lineup to invest in Aristocracy, who will continue to play under their own name.

Former Virtus Pro player Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas parted ways with devils.one at the end of April, bringing all of his teammates with him. They were sponsorless since the decision, but it’s no surprise that they’ve come to terms with a new organization.

“We decided to put all of our eggs in one basket which is Aristocracy–an experienced team with a charismatic leader, TaZ. By taking over the Aristocracy team, along with their name, we want to bring Polish CS back to the times of its glory,” Codewise Unicorns said.

According to HLTV, Aristocracy is Poland’s second-best team, with 58 points. Last week, they beat Virtus Pro to win the ESL Polish Championship Spring. The tag Aristocracy was invented in 2002, but remained inactive until TaZ gained permission to use it in May for the ESL Pro League Europe Season 9. The sponsorless team almost qualified for the ESL finals last month.

TaZ, 33, is a Polish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who made a name for himself back in Counter-Strike 1.6. Despite his being a decorated Counter-Strike veteran with over 18 years of professional experience, Virtus.pro benched TaZ in February of last year. That brought an end to the longest-standing roster in CSGO’s history.

Along with TaZ, Aristocracy includes Jacek “Minise” Jeziak, Karol “rallen” Rodowicz, Mikolaj “mouz” Karolewski, and Pawel “dycha” Dycha.

Today will be Aristocracy’s first tournament under Codewise Unicorn. They will face Tricked at DreamHack Open Summer.
