Call of Duty games are inspired by real-life wars and conflicts, but many were shocked to see Saddam Hussein’s face in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 trailer.

A live action reveal trailer is releasing May 28, which will no doubt give us a closer look at the action inside the long-awaited Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It has been four years since Black Ops Cold War came out, and fans have been awaiting the series ever since, thanks to the popularity of the last Black Ops and Treyarch’s involvement.

The trailer hasn’t come out yet, but the thumbnail of the video has players talking since it features Saddam Hussein, a well-known Iraqi terrorist behind the attacks of 9/11.

Who is Saddam Hussein in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

Developers have not officially explained how Saddam Hussein will be involved in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It is clear, however, that he will play a massive role in the campaign and theme behind the next Call of Duty game.

Comments have been largely positive, with gamers enjoying the historical accuracy and recognizable villain.

One gamer said: “TFW when your childhood is now old enough to qualify as the setting for a historical COD.”

Many have expressed that they feel Call of Duty is “back” and that this game will “hit different.” A lot of players can’t wait for the game to come out now, curious about the dark and terrifying action that’s to come.

For now, it’s unclear what role Saddam Hussein will play and what the campaign storyline will be. It’s not confirmed if 9/11 or other moments in history will be included in missions.
