Valve has released the Dark Willow announcer pack to Dota 2 players who have purchased the TI9 Battle Pass and levelled it to level 75 or higher.

The announcer pack features Dota 2 hero Dark Willow giving her take on what is happening in the game, replacing the default game announcer and mega-kill announcer. As is the case with other announcer packs, players have the option to just use the mega kill or standard Dark Willow announcer if they so choose.

If you have already levelled up your Battle Pass to level 75 or higher, you can grab the announcer pack from the Battle Pass’ rewards line right now. It need only be unbundled and equipped for use.

This release will surely do a lot to alleviate some of the complaints from fans who were starting to get a little annoyed at the lack of original Battle Pass content to date. Despite launching Dota Underlords early for Battle Pass owners just recently, Valve has come under fire on Reddit for not releasing Battle Pass bonuses such as Immortal Treasures II and III, or the promised Wrath of the Mo’rokai special event.

With TI9 now just a couple of months away, fans were getting concerned about the amount of time they would have to play the event or unlock the new immortals before the Battle Pass ends at the conclusion of the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year.

To make sure that fans don’t take to Reddit to complain anymore, Valve announced that both Immortal Treasure II and the Wrath of the Mo’rokai special event should be unveiled sometime in the next week.

This is still Valve, so the company of course didn’t give a specific time and date for the release. Valve could very well delay both of these Battle Pass extras, but recently the developer has been good on its word when it comes to releasing content, or even new games in the case of Dota Underlords.
