B8 vs. Team Nigma BEYOND Epic Europe and CIS betting analysis

Beyond Epic offers fans another regional league for their favorite teams from the Europe and CIS region. The tournament boasts 12 teams vying for their share of the $200,000 prize pool.

B8 replaced Natus Vincere in BEYOND Epic, with the latter withdrawing in order to get more practice time. While B8 likely needs practice time of its own after completely overhauling its roster, the team jumped at the opportunity to compete against some of Dota 2’s best.

Meanwhile, Team Nigma currently sits as the top seed of Group A even after losing one series. The team looks poised to land a more significant spot in this tournament after stumbling throughout the spring.

Beyond Epic serves as another opportunity for B8 and Team Nigma’s redemption in the region.

B8 vs. Team Nigma betting analysis

Team Nigma aims to return to its glory days

Team Nigma is still a fan favorite despite underwhelming results in previous regional leagues. The team managed to claim a significant spot in the recently concluded BLAST Bounty Hunt.

The team tried to pass through European giants Team Secret and OG, but ran into a stone wall. Team Nigma is yet to conquer the two teams that are currently dominating the region.

Team Nigma is poised to come back stronger with its lineup:

  1. Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi
  2. Aliwi “w33” Omar
  3. Ivan Borislavov “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov
  4. Maroun “GH” Merhej
  5. Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi

After KuroKy formed the new organization, Team Nigma was not performing as expected. This wasn’t helped by the transition to regional leagues, with Nigma now being forced to constantly face off with most of Dota 2’s top teams.

Fans expect a championship title from Team Nigma because they know the full potential of the team.

B8 struggling in regional leagues

B8 struggles to find its footing in the CIS region.

The regional leagues with the European region are also a bloodbath for B8. The team endured a historically bad losing streak, which included last-place finishes in ESL One Los Angeles Online, Epic Prime League Season 1, and WePlay! Pushka League Season 1. This prompted a complete reboot of its roster, with the following players set to compete for the organization in BEYOND Epic:

  1. Arets “Crystallis” Remco
  2. Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
  3. Oleg “LastHero” Demidovich
  4. Enis “5up” Elfki
  5. Dmitriy “Fishman” Polishchuk

The team doesn’t have much name value, but it’s already more successful than the previous version of the team. It performed well in the BEYOND Epic qualifiers, and opened its run in the tournament with a win over Team Unique.

Betting odds, predictions for B8 vs. Team Nigma in Beyond Epic Europe and CIS

B8 and Team Nigma were pitted against each other a couple of times in the past. In both instances, Team Nigma came out victorious. This will be the first instance of the two facing off with this new B8 roster.

Team Nigma obviously has the upper hand in this matchup. It’s less likely that B8 will pull off an upset, but don’t leave it off the table. As of this writing, Winners.bet’s line is a whopping 5.55 vs, 1.11 in favor of Team Nigma. This series has a low risk and low return potential. It’s good for fans who don’t have a high-risk appetite because B8 is likely well out of its depth.
