Call of Duty streamer Aydan “Aydan” Conrad isn’t too impressed with what he’s experienced so far in Warzone 2.

The New York Subliners’ content creator has spent a good amount of time playing Call of Duty: Warzone 2. But Aydan recently admitted that he was feeling burnt out.

“I’ve lost my passion for this game, like a lot, though. Like, if I could choose, I would sit here and be a retired old fart and just play World of Warcraft all day – no joke,” he said earlier in January.

Now, Aydan has revealed the possible reason why he’s sick of the Warzone streaming scene.

Aydan says Warzone 2 is the easiest battle royale

In a recent Warzone 2 stream, Aydan admitted to viewers that he wasn’t a fan of the game compared to others in the genre. He added that Warzone was the “least skillful” battle royale compared to Fortnite and Apex Legends. Aydan explained that Apex Legends is more complex due to the legends’ different abilities, giving it a higher skill gap. Warzone “isn’t even close,” in his opinion.

“I would say Warzone is literally the easiest shooter battle royale,” Aydan added.

This is actually not the first time that a streamer has shared a similar opinion. Famous YouTuber Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm recently revealed that Apex Legends is the toughest shooter he’s played.

“I have to say, that’s the hardest shooter game that the Two-Time back-to-back 93/94 Blockbuster video game champion has ever played. Very skilled players play that game, let’s just say that,” Dr Disrespect said at the time.

Warzone 2 vs. Apex Legends: Twitch viewership

While it seems to be largely agreed upon that Apex Legends is the tougher shooter, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the most popular battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 just came out in November. Meanwhile, Apex Legends has been out since 2016. But in the past seven days, Apex Legends has been a lot more popular on Twitch, according to Steam Charts. In fact, Fortnite is also more popular than Warzone.

In the past seven days, Apex Legends has had 11.54 million hours watched compared to Fortnite’s 10 million and Warzone’s 8.1 million. When it comes to peak viewership, Apex Legends is also in the lead with 313K. Fortnite follows with 121.5K, and Warzone had a peak viewership of 114.5K. Average viewership follows the same pattern as well.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is not as dynamic as Apex Legends and Fortnite, which could be part of it. The streamers who play Warzone 2 often spend most of the time complaining about the game, which could also make the viewership decline. Apex Legends has also received consistent content updates and balance changes.
