Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 2

Details about the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass have been allegedly leaked online, and Attack on Titan Fortnite skins seem to be coming.

Fortnite has an incredible number of tie-ins with other media properties, from television shows to movies to other video games to some of the most popular anime in the world. It seems that the next season is going to include yet another incredibly popular anime with a tie-in skin. From the theme of Chapter 4 Season 2 to the battle pass skins that are likely to come with it, here’s everything that we know right now about the next season of Fortnite.

Chapter 4 Season 2 Fortnite Battle Pass leaked

The next Fortnite season is nearly here! With eight days until the next season lands, new details have come to light about exactly what’s going to be changed for the new iteration of Epic Games’ battle royale. The new season will bring a new theme to the island, new items into the game, and new rewards with a brand new Battle Pass. Thanks to information from trusted leakers in the Fortnite community, fans have gotten an early glimpse of what they can expect from 2023’s second Fortnite season. The rumors say that Attack on Titan Fortnite skins and items will be a big part of the new season, so here’s what we know.

Chapter 4 Season 2 theme

The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 theme will be a futuristic pseudo-cyberpunk aesthetic, referred to as Neo-Tokyo by leaker ShiinaBR. ShiinaBR has said that both they and another trusted source for new content, HYPEX, can confirm it. This would be a big step for the new island, which was brought in with Season One in early 2023.

The new island hasn’t carved out an identity for itself except for its multi-dimensional nature. A futuristic spin on the map will be plenty to give Fortnite fans a new look for their island battleground. This seems like it will feed into several of the supposed skins that will be added for the new season.

Attack on Titan Fortnite skins and new Battle Pass

Some of the skins that will appear in the new season have also been leaked by HYPEX and ShiinaBR. Five new skins that will supposedly be added were showcased by ShiinaBR. One skin is an anthropomorphized lizard that loosely resembles a Komodo Dragon. The second skin is a notably cyberpunk-inspired woman in a bunny outfit, then a mysterious masked figure. The final two are a bright neon character with a cyber-skull and jacket and Attack on Titan’s Eren Yeager.

The skins depicted are apparently the Battle Pass skins’ forms, as shown in previous surveys. The live versions may differ somewhat from Epic Games’ original imaginings. The four unique characters do seem to be compatible with a Neo-Tokyo-inspired reskinning of the Fortnite map. The skin that has many fans excited is the anime tie-in that will bring Eren Yeager as a playable skin.

Attack on Titan Fortnite skin coming in Season 2

The Attack on Titan collaboration won’t be limited to just Eren Yeager, either. Supposedly the new season will also include a Waist Grappler Mythic item straight out of the Attack on Titan anime. This also seems likely, as previous collaborations with Marvel included a Spider-Man-themed grappling item that sounds similar. The Waist Grappler is one of the most iconic parts of Attack on Titan. It is a spooled grappling harness that the humans in the anime use to combat the monstrously huge titans. Fortnite often introduces themed mobility items, and a waist grappler would fall right in line with past similar ideas.

If the new season does away with the Shockwave Hammer, having something to fill its absence would make sense. The Shockwave Hammer and similar mobility items often become core parts of how a Fortnite season is played. Movement is king in Fortnite, so this item would seriously warp the game around it.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 release date

The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 release date is likely to be March 10, 2023. The last full day of Fortnite Chapter 4 will be March 9, when it will go offline for changes. New seasons often begin in the morning of the next day, so Fortnite could be expected to return on the morning of March 10. There are four Fortnite seasons during each calendar year, and the timing tends to be consistent between years since Epic Games’ game has hit its stride.

Fortnite Eren Yaeger secret skin

Supposedly the Eren Yaeger skin in the Battle Pass will be the season’s secret skin. Secret skins are skins that aren’t usually available simply through the Battle Pass’ progression system. If rumors are correct that Chapter 4 Season 2’s secret skin will be Eren Yeager, it would likely be locked behind time or other quests. Fortnite’s skin acquisition methods tend to vary between skins. Some are available for free without paying for the Battle Pass. Others become available after purchasing the Battle Pass and achieving enough levels to unlock them. Finally, some skins are locked behind free quests or paid quest bundles. An example of a quest-locked skin is the recent Geralt of Rivia cosmetic, which required several quests to be completed in order to be redeemed.

Overall, the new season sounds like a promising development on Fortnite’s strong start to the year. Fortnite’s collaborations with popular animes seem to be some of its most well-received tie-ins. With Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, and Naruto having multiple events and skin lines, Attack on Titan is only natural to be up next. Given that previous animes have always returned for further events, this likely won’t be the last time we see Attack on Titan in Fortnite.
