The ongoing Twitch drama surrounding Mizkif and Maya has heavily impacted Asmongold’s stream, leading the World of Warcraft player to indefinitely leave his main channel.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo after the One True King co-owner and his former partner Maya were accused of trying to cover up sexual assault allegations against their friend CrazySlick. The sensitive topic has continued to disrupt the streaming community, causing Asmongold to speak out on the issue multiple times.

“I don’t want to get too far into this stuff,” Asmongold said earlier in the week. “I want to make sure I don’t accidentally mess up our third-party investigation. I can’t really say anything about it.”

Asmongold called the situation “serious,” adding that he wants to clarify the leaked Discord call that accused Maya Higa of pressuring Adrianah Lee to create a scripted TwitLonger.

Due to the ongoing legal matter, Asmongold said he won’t be able to stream the release of the World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King expansion. However, he went on Twitch using his alternative channel on September 26 to discuss his feelings about the situation while playing the new expansion.

Asmongold has an alternative Twitch channel, Zackrawrr. He often uses this channel when he’s going through tough times in his life, including family matters and now the OTK controversy.

While playing the Lich King expansion, Asmongold admitted that he may never use his main channel again. He admitted he had a panic attack when he woke up earlier that day, “freaking out” about posting a tweet on the situation.

“I couldn’t go back to sleep at all,” said Asmongold.

After this high-profile drama incident, Asmongold is not sure if he will ever stream on his main channel again. His current channel has over 3.3 million followers compared to his backup channel’s 1 million. He gets relatively the same amount of views on both channels, however.

It’s currently unclear if Asmongold will go back to his main channel after the controversy and investigation are concluded. For now, fans of the World of Warcraft player will have to tune into his second channel.
