Riot Games has released the first trailer for Arcane Season 2 and it confirms a huge lore moment that will be coming in the new animated installation.
Arcane is Riot Games’ smash hit animated adaptation of the lore of League of Legends. Season 1 focused on the twin cities of Piltover & Zaun and many of their inhabitants, specifically Vi, Jinx, Ekko, and Singed from Zaun and Caitlyn, Viktor, Jayce, and Heimerdinger from Piltover.
The new trailer was released alongside Riot’s annual roadmap.
Arcane Season 2 trailer confirms Warwick
THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR ARCANE SEASON 1 AND POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR ARCANE SEASON 2.
One of the biggest storylines happening during Arcane Season 1 was the apparent death of Vi and Jinx’s adoptive father, Vander. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the first season seemed to match up with the backstory of a champion who is very much alive in modern-day League of Legends lore. If you

Here’s the big payoff if you want to cut to the chase: Vander is Warwick, twisted by mad doctor Singed into the horrifying werewolf-esque monster that stalks Zaun’s streets.
The new trailer shows glimpses of Singed in his laboratory, and Vander, now transformed into Warwick. We see Singed’s arm pumped full of Chemtech, a bandaged Singed, and the various Chemtech tanks that are implanted into Vander before Singed’s hand closes the locket he clutches at the end of Season 1.
Then, just before the trailer ends, we see the horrifying vignette of the mostly-transformed Warwick, a titanous monster, hanging from the ceiling as Singed gazes on from the floor.
