Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

A surprise Apex Legends collaboration was revealed during The Game Awards 2023.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is coming to Apex Legends in January of 2024. This was a surprising announcement that fans didn’t see coming at all. The short trailer was full of interesting imagery, but a lot of the collaboration details are still unknown.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to Apex Legends

Since Apex Legends came out in 2019, the game’s fast-paced gunplay and dynamic legends have won over battle royale fans. Now, Apex Legends fans are getting a surprising collaboration that will bring Final Fantasy content to Apex Legends’ world.

It’s unclear what the collaboration will fully entail, whether that’s Final Fantasy-inspired skins or game modes. The trailer shows a bit of what’s to come, including Crypto holding Cloud’s Buster Sword and Wraith and Horizon wearing outfits that look like they belong in an RPG.

Crypto holding the Buster Sword points at a possible game mode since it’s highly unlikely this would be part of the battle royale. Respawn Entertainment has introduced game modes as part of collaboration events in the past so this could definitely be a possibility.

We’ll find out more when the collab drops on January 9, 2024.
