Kick streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa has opened up about some very serious medical troubles that have caused her to cancel public appearances.

Amouranth took to Twitter to reveal some very concerning medical problems she’s been dealing with since March. She explained that she previously wished to keep this serious and sensitive information private but felt she owed fans an explanation after she missed multiple high-profile appearances.

According to Amouranth, she was told a few months ago that she has late-stage ovarian failure.

Amouranth opens up about late-stage ovarian failure

In the emotional thread, Amouranth said that she has been in perimenopause for a while and has been undergoing “confusing changes” over the last year. At first, Amouranth shrugged it off and wasn’t aware of how serious the situation was. That changed after a doctor’s appointment in March.

“Since then I have undergone many tests and diagnostic procedures, and my doctors concluded that not only do I have these conditions, but that my case is accelerated, as my hormones and other markers indicate a more advanced prognosis,” Amouranth admitted.

For now, Amouranth will be doing daily injections for a few weeks, causing possible side effects like headaches, nausea, and aches. She was told to avoid “high-impact physical activities,” so she will no longer be appearing in the highly anticipated La Velada boxing match. At first, Amouranth was hoping to push through the event before starting her treatment but has encountered “extreme medical developments.”

Said Amouranth: “I’m incredibly upset about this, and I’m sorry to anyone I’ve let down. I’m hoping for a quick and painless treatment, and maybe I can get the opportunity to get in the ring next year if everything goes well.”

Fans are wishing Amouranth luck with her treatment and are urging her to put her health first. After everything else Amouranth has gone through, fans just want her to take it easy.
