Valorant Champions Tour is one of the biggest esports events, which takes place every tail end of the year. With the 2024 season approaching, it’s worth looking back at the winners of all VCT finals so far.
Valorant Champions Tour filters out the best teams worldwide and then pits them against each other on the grand stage at the end of every year. Since 2021, this event’s trophy has been the ultimate holy grail. The 2023 season just wrapped, and pros and fans are both anticipating the beginning of the next spell.
Before that, here are the winners of all VCT finals so far:
Tournament | Team |
VCT 2021 | Acend |
VCT 2022 | LOUD |
VCT 2023 | Evil Geniuses |
Acend emerged as the winner of the VCT final in 2021 by defeating Gambit Esports in the finals with a score of 3-2.
The European giants had a tough match, as they were down 2-1, and their backs were against the wall. But they made an impressive comeback and finished things off after barely surviving Icebox.
During their victory in VCT 2021 against Gambit, Mehmet Yağız “cNed” İpek emerged as the star player. He stood out as the MVP of the tournament and played a crucial role in Acend’s success in the grand finals.
VCT 2021 winning roster:
In 2022, LOUD put themselves on the Valorant map by beating Optic in a 3-1 fashion.
It was a nail-biting game with lots of ups and downs, but LOUD was the stronger team that day. The game was spread out across four maps, with LOUD winning Ascent, Breeze, and Haven. Optic managed to win 13-6 on Bind, but it wasn’t nearly enough to win the Champions trophy.
Here’s the Champions 2022 lineup:
Evil Geniuses won the VCT 2023 Champions title after a Cinderella run in the finals.
In 2023, EG became the first North American team to win the biggest title in Valorant in front of their home crowd. The quintet beat Paper Rex 3-1 with the help of Demon1, who killed his debut. This would also be the first event won by a female Valorant coach. Christine “potter” Chi played a key role in EG’s victory and stellar comeback at VCT 2023.
The winner’s lineup for VCT 2023:
