The European giants had a tough match, as they were down 2-1, and their backs were against the wall. But they made an impressive comeback and finished things off after barely surviving Icebox.

During their victory in VCT 2021 against Gambit, Mehmet Yağız “cNed” İpek emerged as the star player. He stood out as the MVP of the tournament and played a crucial role in Acend’s success in the grand finals.

In 2023, EG became the first North American team to win the biggest title in Valorant in front of their home crowd. The quintet beat Paper Rex 3-1 with the help of Demon1, who killed his debut. This would also be the first event won by a female Valorant coach. Christine “potter” Chi played a key role in EG’s victory and stellar comeback at VCT 2023.
