Streamer Adriana Chechik has been sharing her recovery story ever since she broke her back at TwitchCon, and her most recent update has many in the Twitch community devastated.

At TwitchCon 2022, Chechik jumped into the foam pit that Lenovo set up, leading to her injuring her spine in multiple places. While filled with foam blocks, the pit was too shallow and nothing was covering the concrete beneath, causing many attendees to get injured. Chechik was by far the worse case, however.

After the shocking TwitchCon incident, Chechik started to share her journey. After her first surgeries, Chechik was barely able to walk. She has not been able to work since, but has been trying to stay positive by planning a Disney trip and building LEGO sets.

Despite her constant updates, the media has been “intrusive,” according to Chechik, causing her to have anxiety. She has also been overwhelmed with the streaming community demanding that Lenovo and Twitch be responsible for the dangerous foam pit.

“Guys, please respect my healing in this time. Any talk of what I should do to these companies or who I need to be mad at is not a part of how I want to heal currently. Please, if you must talk, don’t tag me. I am human and I do see this and I am currently pushing hard to heal!” Chechik told fans.

Unable to stay away from work for too long, Chechick admitted she’s bad at “being lazy” and has returned to streaming here and there. In her latest livestream, Chechik revealed that she was pregnant at TwitchCon.

Chechik was dressed up for Halloween during her stream and decided to give some updates about her process. She showed her back, explaining that her stitches were done in such a way to make them less noticeable. Standing up to show her back left Chechik out of breath.

She also added that she had been pregnant at TwitchCon during the entire ordeal.

“I was pregnant and I didn’t find out till I was in the hospital. So I also had crazy hormones. I’m not pregnant anymore because of the surgery. I couldn’t keep it. My hormones are through the f—ing roof because of that,” Chechik admitted.

This news left a lot of the streaming community shocked. On top of the life-changing spinal injury, now Chechik had lost a pregnancy.

Despite all of the hardships after TwitchCon, however, Chechik has largely remained positive. She has been trying to get back into streaming and has set up new body goals for herself as she continues to recover.
