A Wrecking Ball glitch is breaking the Overwatch 2 beta

A game-breaking Wrecking Ball glitch is crashing entire games in the Overwatch 2 beta.
The Overwatch 2 beta has been a hit with fans, allowing them to try out a new hero, powerful reworks, and new game modes. But streamers and casual players alike have noticed that the gameplay isn’t the smoothest. Recently, a game-breaking bug was discovered that allows Wrecking Ball to crash the game.
A beta having glitches and bugs is nothing new. Some of the game’s wonky elements have been expected. But the latest problem is more than just a hilarious blooper. Wrecking Ball being able to consistently crash the game is more frustrating than funny.

What is the Wrecking Ball glitch in the Overwatch 2 beta?
Wrecking Ball’s Grappling Claw ability is at the source of the problem.
Hammond uses the Grappling Claw to swing around the map at top speed. After hooking onto a surface, Wrecking Ball can launch himself at rapid speed, making him one of the most aggressive tanks out there. But players have discovered that grabbing the ground is more disruptive than usual.
No matter the map, Wrecking Ball will crash the game when he grapples the floor. Grappling straight down while on the ground instantly removes all players from the match. This leaves the beta having to refill all nine of the empty spots with new players. Even worse, Wrecking Ball can repeat this trick again and again.
While a lot of bugs are tough to duplicate or don’t work consistently, the Wrecking Ball glitch has been proven to work whenever desired. This has made it even more concerning.
So far, Blizzard hasn’t responded to the ongoing issue with Wrecking Ball.
