Fortnite Season 7 brought a lot of new content, including many new crossovers with more still to come. But competitive Fortnite players are not happy with the state of the game and want developers to focus more on gameplay rather than adding new content.

Players are getting fed up with the spawn rates in the popular battle royale. Epic removed the 100% chest spawn rate in the game, something that has caused an uproar. Developers made chest spawn rates 100% in 2019, meaning they would spawn no matter what. But that changed more recently.

When Epic decided to change the spawn rate to 100%, it was considered one of the best quality of life changes to the game since players could land just about anywhere on the map. Removing the 100% spawn rate frustrated players because it made some locations on the map riskier than others. Players have started to voice their frustrations online, talking about the inconsistencies they’ve experienced during competitive matches.

Competitive players are so fed up with Fortnite’s competitive state that they are even fine with 75% spawn rates. But so far, develoer Epic Games hasn’t responded to the complaints. In the past, Epic hasn’t really seemed too concerned with what pro Fortnite players have said, deciding to make the game beginner-friendly instead. That strategy has helped to grow Fortnite further, but it hasn’t made its most dedicated players happy.

What does RNG mean in Fortnite?

RNG stands for “random number generator.” In Fortnite, RNG stands for the spawn rates and loot drops all over the game’s map. There are different weapon rarities as well, with higher rarity spawns being more powerful or more accurate.

How do I get better RNG in Fortnite?

You unfortunately can’t change the amount of RNG in Fortnite, and competitive players are frustrated about this. This means that landing in certain areas of the map will have better results than others.
