ZywOo gets triple-kill with a single AWP shot in IEM Fall 2021

Sniper collaterals have become pretty common in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but this one-bullet triple kill from IEM Fall 2021 by Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut is a rare sight. 

ZywOo is widely regarded as one of the best shots in modern CSGO, and is particularly deadly with an AWP in his hands. The 20-year old racked up countless kills and he’s showing no signs of stopping. This was seen in IEM Fall 2021 with a triple kill against Dignitas that will certainly go down as one of ZywOo’s best plays. 

Team Vitality went up against Dignitas in a group stage match in IEM Fall Europe 2021, beating the team in 16-8 fashion. However, it wasn’t team’s one-sided win that made the highlights. ZywOo’s annihilation of Dignitas in Inferno’s banana with a single bullet was a jaw-dropping moment.  

With only one win in the bag, Dignitas had finally stabilized their economy with AK-47s on the terrorist side when a B site rush cost them the round and eventually the entire game. After Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli’s first flash, the team executed a banana rush but failed to make it past cubby thanks to ZywOo’s AWP. Vitality took down Dignitas’ in-game leader Adam “friberg” Friberg in banana. Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier then picked off Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson from the corner, but the round was still winnable for Dignitas in a three-on-three situation. 

While things still looked up for the friberg-led roster, ZyWoo turned the tables with just one bullet. The pro player patiently held a dangerous angle on banana and waited for the prey to fall into his crosshair. Upon spotting the first enemy, ZywOo put a single shot through Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, hallzerk, and Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso, putting an end to the round. With his incredible AWPing skills, the 20-year old bagged four kills with just two bullets in a matter of seconds, shutting down a hard banana push. 

By beating Dignitas, Team Vitality became one of five European CSGO teams to secure a spot in the PGL Stockholm Major. While it was misutaa who led the charge for his team with a 1.30 rating, ZyWoo played a crucial role in snatching away close rounds from Dignitas. The AWPer rose to the occasion when Dignitas tried clawing their way back up after a 13-2 Vitality lead at halftime, bagging the game with his incredible sniping skills. 

Is it possible to get an ace with one bullet in CSGO? 

It is possible to kill five people with a single bullet in CSGO if you’re using AWP, but it’s incredibly unlikely and requires some of the opponents to be softened up. There is one documented case of it happening however, with one lucky player hitting the one-bullet ace in a pub game on Inferno.
