Your complete guide to the Runeterra Reforged traits

The new Teamfight Tactics set, Runeterra Reforged, takes Riot Games’ auto-battler back to Runeterra, here are all the Runeterra Reforged traits and origins.

Traits and Origins are the types by which champions are divided, and we’ve assembled all the details for how the new set will change team compositions.

Runeterra Reforged Traits

Bastion

Bastion is this set’s default defensive trait, granting all Bastion units bonus Armor and Magic Resistance. This bonus is doubled for the first 10 seconds of a round.

Bruiser

Victorious Sejuani Splash Art

Bruiser returns as the health-focused tank trait, meant to help build teams’ unstoppable frontlines. While Bruiser is active, your entire team gains 100 health. Bruisers gain more health with higher levels of the trait.

Trait bonus: 2: 15% HP, 4: 40% HP, 6: 85% HP

Challenger

Irelia from League of Legends

Challenger is the Attack Speed-focused class for Runeterra reforged. Challengers gain bonus Attack Speed. When their target dies, Challengers dash to their next target and increase their trait’s Attack Speed Bonus by 50% for 2.5 seconds.

Trait bonus: 2: 30% Attack Speed, 4: 55% Attack Speed, 6: 80% Attack Speed, 8: 100% Attack Speed

Darkin

Darkin is the unique trait that only 5-cost Aatrox possesses. Whenever Aatrox or the holder of the Darkin Blade dies, the Darkin Blade becomes equipped to be the nearest enemy champion. The wielder of the Darkin Blade gains 500 Health and 20% Omnivamp. After the Darkin Blade has been equipped to a champion for four or more seconds, Aatrox will revive upon their death rather than handing the Darkin Blade to the next champion.

Deadeye

Deadeye is a range and damage-focused trait meant to supply team compositions with powerful backlines. Deadeyes innately gain an additional Hex of attack range. Every three seconds, Deadeyes attack the enemy with the highest percentage of their maximum Health, dealing extra damage.

Trait Bonus: 2: +20% damage, 4: +45% damage, 6: +100% damage

Demacia

Demacia resembles Shimmerscale from previous sets, equipping champions with powerful items each round. At the start of each planning phase, a number of your strongest Demacian units become Elites. These Elites gain a random Radiant item until the end of combat and grant themselves and adjacent allies 10 Armor and 10 Magic Resistance. The Radiant Items will always be upgraded versions of completed items that can be forged.

Trait bonus: 3: 1 Elite, 5: 2 Elites, 7: 3 Elites, double bonus resistances, 9: 5 Elites, and triple bonus resistances

Empress

Empress is another unique trait, possessed only by the 5-cost Void unit Bel’Veth. When Bel’Veth kills an enemy, they leave behind a Void Coral that she consumes. The first Coral of a round heals her for half of her maximum health, while further Void Corals heal her for 20%. When Bel’Veth consumes a Void Coral, she deals 10% of her maximum health as Magic Damage to any enemies within 2 Hexes.

Freljord

Freljord brings the cold with a blizzard that wears at enemies. After five seconds of combat, a Freljordian storm hits the battlefield. Enemies take a percentage of their maximum health as true damage and gain debuffs for 15 seconds. Enemies are Sundered and Shredded by default, with higher levels also Mana Reaving them.

Trait bonus: 2: 5% max health damage, enemies are 40% Sundered and Shredded, 3: 12% max health damage, enemies are also 50% Mana Reaved, 4: 20% max health damage, enemies are also Stunned for 1.5 seconds by the storm

Gunner

When Gunners attack, they gain bonus Attack Damage, stacking up to eight times.

Spirit Blossom Yasuo

Every four seconds of a round, the strongest Ionian champions ascend into their Spirit Form and gain 20 Mana. In their Spirit Form, each champion’s ability gains an Ionian Bonus that grants it an enhancement.

Noxus units gain Health, Ability Power, and Attack Damage. Each different opponent who you have defeated or is dead grants 10% of these bonus stats up to 7 times.

Gain a T-Hex unit on your board. Every time you lose a player combat, the T-Hex gains a charge. Winning a round releases the T-Hex’s charges and gives it a stats boost based on the number of charges consumed. The T-Hex may be sold for loot, with the quality of loot increasing with the T-Hex’s power.

Trait bonus: 3: Gain the T-Hex, 5: Losing a round grants an additional charge to the T-Hex, winning a round grants loot

Trait bonus: 1: Whenever an ally gains a Shield, Senna grants them a stacking 8% Attack for the rest of the combat.

Rogue

Rogues are a DPS class designed to be slippery but not quite as immediate of a threat as Assassins have been.

Trait bonus: 1: Rogues become unforgettable and dash toward a nearby enemy when they drop below 50% HP. This dash will prioritize backliners. 4: Rogues deal 50% of the enemy’s max health after first damaging them over five seconds.

Shadow Isles

After dealing or receiving damage eight times, Shadow Isles champions shield themselves and become Spectral. Spectral champions passively gain Mana over time.

Trait bonus: 2: 40% max HP shield, 10 Mana per second, 4: 70% HP shield, 15 Mana, 6: 100% HP shield, 20 Mana

Void

Void units create a Void egg on the board that can be moved. At the start of combat, the egg hatches into a Void creature. Void champions’ star levels increase the Void egg’s health and AP by 25%
