Yellowstone fans are wondering if there’s going to be a Season 6, and it’s not looking promising.

Fans were disappointed when the show was canceled in 2023. Instead, producers explained that Season 5 would have a Part 1 and Part 2. This has created some speculation that Season 6 is in the works amongst fans of Yellowstone.

Is Season 6 happening after all?

When is Yellowstone Season 6 coming out?

Yellowstone Season 6 is unfortunately not happening.

The show is ending after Season 5 Part 2 after being canceled last year. The Season 5 Part 1 finale was originally meant to be a break, but behind-the-scenes drama resulted in Kevin Costner wanting to leave the show after Season 5 Part 2.

For a while, fans wondered if Matthew McConaughey would become the new lead and if the show would continue. This hasn’t been confirmed, and Showtime CEO Chris McCarthy has instead said he’s looking forward to the sequel since “Yellowstone has been the cornerstone on which we have launched an entire universe of global hits.”

While Yellowstone Season 6 is not happening, fans can look forward to Yellowstone: 2024. This will continue the Dutton story, picking up where Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 leaves off.

Nobody has been confirmed for Yellowstone: 2024. It’s possible that the cast, including Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Wes Bentley, will reprise their roles, but it won’t include Costner.
