xQc complains about not winning at Streamer Awards 2022

xQc Streamer Awards

Felix “xQc” Lengyel was one of the most popular streamers present at the first annual Streamer Awards.

The Hollywood-style event featured a red carpet and awards program, with xQc showing up in clothing that many considered a bit too casual. Even without a suit on, xQc likely got the most attention of any streamer in the room thanks to his impressive following and big personality.

xQc has well over 10 million followers on Twitch, making him one of the largest on the platform. He is also one of the most subscribed to streamers as well as the most wealthy, according to Twitch leaks from last year. Due to his success, xQc was up for Streamer of the Year.

Many believed that xQc had the category in the bag, but instead the award went to Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren, mostly thanks to the YouTube streamers iconic subathon in 2021. Still, fans of xQc felt the controversial former Overwatch League pro was robbed.

xQc quickly deletes tweet complaining about Streamer Awards 2022

As fans continued to question how xQc could attend an awards show and not win a single award, xQc decided to tweet about it. Well, sort of.

xQc was in the middle of writing out a tweet that he seemed uncertain about when he was allegedly bumped into, causing him to sloppily send out the tweet by mistake.

“OF COURSE I’M NOT UPSET I DIDN’T WIN. IT’S A FUN IN-HOUSE EVENT. I JUST WISH SOME OF THE BIGGEST, MORE MAIN STRB,” the deleted tweet said.

He followed up by removing the tweet and following it with the following:

Unfortunately, many fans had the sense to screenshot the strange tweet moments after it was accidentally sent. Some are uncertain what the tweet means since it appears that his tweet was cut off and not finished before it was sent out, but it appears he was attempting to say “mainstream” before he got interrupted.

While xQc was attempting to explain why he didn’t mind the L, it came off as salty to some. Others noted that it was clear that he wasn’t particularly invested in winning an award regardless. xQc didn’t even ask anyone to vote beforehand, which was likely a factor in his walking away empty-handed.

xQc steals the show despite not winning at Streamer Awards 2022

Even though xQc didn’t win any trophies, xQc was most definitely one of the most prominent figures at the event. Not only that, but xQc was causing a lot of mayhem.

While many streamers arrived in tuxedos and gowns, xQc decided to show up looking casual. Many joked that he looked like a “bum” but others added that he is also probably the richest person in the entire theater.

Coloring books were given out to each table as a joke mid-show. But xQc actually decided to spend a chunk of the awards show coloring very intensely. His extreme focus on the coloring instead of the award ceremony definitely left people entertained.

xQc also had harsh words for the host and creator of the show, QTCinderella. When she asked him during the award show what could be improved for next year, xQc responded: “Everything. The jokes…”

At the after-party, xQc’s behavior was the opposite of what is to be expected at a fancy event. Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker caught him crouching in the corner with pizza and beer, looking to be out of place amidst the high-end streamer chaos.

Despite all of xQc’s antics, his fans know that this is just the streamer being true to himself. xQc has consistently kept up the same public image for the past handful of years, never seeming too flashy except for his expensive car purchases.

It’s unclear if xQc is truly upset that he didn’t win an award at the Streamer Awards 2022, but it seems he still stole the show.
