WWE 2K23 is the 25th installment in the franchise, developed by North American studio Visual Concepts Entertainment. This developer is also responsible for the NBA 2K franchise.
What is the release date for WWE 2K23?
There isn’t an official announcement for WWE 2K23, but we can speculate based on the release cycle of WWE 2K22. The game was announced during the 2021 SummerSlam, a live event that took place in August of 2021. The game was then released in March of 2022.

dedicated to new information about the game, more details about the game will come out by the end of January. It most likely means that an announcement will take place during the 2023 Royal Rumble.
If the seven-month difference between the announcement and release prevails, it would mean an August release for WWE 2K23. Fans are still hoping the game comes out in March of 2023, but considering how close the date is, it seems unlikely. There are multiple high-profile games coming out in March including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. While the genre and target demographics are different, it would make sense for the game to aim for another month.
A summer release is possible for this title.
What game modes will be in WWE 2K23?
WWE 2K23 is likely to keep the same game modes as its predecessor. These modes are Showcase, MyUniverse, MyRise, MyGM, and MyFaction.
In Showcase, players followed the career of Rey Mysterio Jr. This mode included footage of interviews and gameplay. In WWE 2K23, this mode will follow whoever ends up on the cover of the game.
MyUniverse is the sandbox mode where players get to put together their shows and become the boss. MyRise is the regular storyline mode with a rookie wrestler starting from the bottom. The decisions made by the player affect the outcome and how popular the rookie becomes.
In MyGM, players are in charge of a brand and compete with other brands for the attention of the fans. Players are in charge of the schedules, the storylines, the match cards, and all the rivalries that will result.
Last but certainly not least is MyFaction, the new game mode introduced in WWE 2K22. Simply put, MyFaction is a recently-added card ame mode where players get to complete their collections and compete.
MyFaction became the most popular mode in the 2022 edition of the game, so many expect that the next edition doubles down on it, especially considering how profitable it is.
Is WWE 2K23 going to be on PS4?
Most upcoming games are compatible with PlayStation 4, and WWE 2K23 won’t be an exception. It will probably support the same platforms as its predecessor. Players should expect the game to be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.
