After seven weeks of intense matches, WINNERS League Season 3’s playoffs are about to begin.

WINNERS League Season 3 will ring in the new year with the playoffs for both the European and North American Invite Divisions. The European playoffs will begin on Sunday, January 12 while their counterparts across the Atlantic start a day prior on January 11.

The WINNERS League playoff teams have faced a long road to get to the finals, competing in a total of 128 matches of Counter-Strike Global Offensive across both divisions.

Four teams from each group advanced out of the regular season, with each region set for a 16-team, single-elimination tournament to determine the the two champions. Each series will take place in a best-of-three format that will highlight the teams’ strengths and weaknesses, ensuring that only the best make it to the finals.

WINNERS League S3 Playoffs Brackets Released

There are some tough games ahead for some teams, especially for squads like North America’s Ascent.NA and Europe’s Defusekids. Ascent finished the regular season with a respectable 4-3 record but will face a Chaos Esports Club that went undefeated in the regular season.

Like Ascent, Defusekids made it into the WINNERS League Season 3 playoffs at 4-3, but have a very tough draw in Nemiga Gaming. With a clean 7-0 record in the regular season and a league-leading +57 round win differential, Nemiga was statistically the best team across both regions this season.

Teams like Chaos EC, Nemiga, and ATK are the favorites to make it to the finals, but their competitors have had ample time to prepare for one another since the end of the regular season. There is always the possibility of an upset especially with teams like Chaos, which is focused on the upcoming IEM Katowice 2020 closed qualifiers.

WINNERS League Season 3 saw some incredible comebacks and huge upsets, and there’s no reason to think those won’t continue during the playoffs. After the initial 16 games, the remaining eight winners will move through to round two and fight for the four semifinal spots up for grabs.

Stay tuned for continued coverage of the WINNERS League Season 3 Invite division playoffs as they progress. Fans can tune into all of the playoff action over on the WINNERS League Twitch channel and follow their favorite team’s progress on Twitter.
