Will MultiVersus have crossplay? Here's what we know

MultiVersus’ fiercely competitive two-versus-two format calls for maximum teamwork. Will players be able to team up across different platforms? Here’s what we know about crossplay in MultiVersus. 

Players will soon be able to lock horns as Batman, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, and more in an epic crossover. Warner Bros.’ MultiVersus is still in development, but some players were lucky enough to get early access. Those who have taken the characters for a spin claim that MultiVersus is no picnic. Players want to secure as much help as possible to gain an edge over opponents. 

Fortunately, MultiVersus is set to be released on all major gaming platforms, including PC. Players are now wondering whether there’d be crossplay in MultiVersus to help them set up efficient teams. 

Will there be crossplay in MutliVersus?

Yes. MultiVersus will have full crossplay across all launch platforms.

This is excellent news for all players as MultiVersus is strictly two-versus-two, which means teamwork is vital. Players will be able to duo with anyone on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, and PC. The game is truly going to be wild as full crossplay warrants active servers and high concurrent players at all times. 

Mostly, players are against full crossplay due to high skill disparity that may result in unfair matchups. However, MultiVersus is a simple fighter game with less to do with movement and mobility. Players across all platforms should be able to compete in fair games due to the strict two-on-two format of the game. 

The best part about crossplay in MultiVersus is cross-progression. Often, developers allow crossplay with limitations on rank progression. MultiVersus players will be able to log in from the same account on all devices with the same rank. For example, if you have secured a new level on a PC, you will be able to continue in the same ELO when logged in from a console. 

Which characters will be available in MultiVersus?

MultiVersus will feature a variety of fighters and personalities to team up with or compete against, including Batman, Velma, Buggs Bunny, Superman, Tom and Jerry, and more.
