Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has taken Fortnite into a Cyberpunk Neo-Tokyo aesthetic, but when will it end, and what can fans expect?

Every calendar year of Fortnite is divided up into four Seasons, one for each quarter of the year. This year, each season has seen Fortnite’s island change with a new dimension modifying the map. From the Oathbound castles and keeps to the Fortnite MEGA cyberpunk cities, Epic Games keeps it fresh. So when will Fortnite MEGA wind to a close, and what can fans expect from the ending of this chapter?

When will Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 end?

Current estimations have Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 ending on June 9th, 2023. Previous Fortnite Seasons have had large live-participation events to round out the season, but this might not be one of them. Recent rumors have noted a lack of large encrypted files being added to the game, which may indicate no live event at the end of Season 2. It seems like the second season of Chapter 4 might buck some of the trends for previous season transitions this year.

Similar changes being made to the map for the next season as were made this season seems likely. Each season seems to be themed around introducing a new dimension to the island, each with a unique time period and aesthetic. The first season was the Oathbound medieval-inspired dimension, next was Fortnite MEGA’s cyberpunk Japanese aesthetic. What the next season might hold is still mostly a mystery.

There’s no clue just yet what will be the theme of next season, but Save The World starter packages from it have already been leaked. Currently, the best bet for the final day of this season is June 9, with the next season launching on the morning of June 10.
