Mario Kart racers are getting a bit impatient waiting for the second wave of DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Nintendo fans want to know when the tracks are coming and what the tracks will be. Here is what we know so far.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe received a huge update in the form of the Booster Course DLC, bringing 48 new tracks to the game. When the DLC was first announced, Nintendo explained that the tracks would be coming in waves throughout 2022 and beyond, with eight tracks split into two cups coming each time. But Nintendo never told players exactly when the tracks would be coming out, leaving some fans puzzled.
A predicted pattern had fans pretty positive that the second wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC tracks would be coming in July 2022. This sentiment was reinforced when a 7-11 ad for the course pack came out in early July, leaving fans wondering if it was hinting at a reveal sometime in the near future.
So far, however, Nintendo has yet to officially announce the arrival date of the second wave of tracks. July still isn’t out of the question, but the actual release date is a complete mystery. It may not come this month at all, but that begs the obvious question.
Nintendo has been tight-lipped about the tracks coming in the second wave of DLC as well. After announcing the first eight tracks, fans were left to wonder about the remaining 40 maps being added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
All of the courses are taken from previous Mario Kart titles and remastered, meaning the eight tracks could be from the original Mario Kart, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart Wii or any of the other popular Mario Kart games.
There are many tracks to choose from, making it even more mysterious which will be included in the second wave. Racers are hoping to see some fan favorites including Peach Gardens from Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 64’s Wario Stadium.
