The year’s hottest and most-anticipated free-to-play crossover has entered the closed alpha stage. As the release date draws closer, fans are becoming eager to know more about WarnerBros’ unique fighter. Characters, villains, and trailers are already out there for all to enjoy, and some lucky players have already secured a spot on the closed alpha list. 

MultiVersus is primarily a two-versus-two fighting game that pits iconic fictional characters against each other. But who will be able to play the game once it’s released? 

Which platforms will MultiVersus come out on?

According to WarnerBros., MultiVersus will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, and PC.

The short trailer for MultiVersus is packed with action and iconic catchphrases of popular heroes. Legendary characters like Batman, Shaggy, Buggs Bunny, and Harley Quinn are spotted teaming up in duos to beat the opponents with special powers. The game is still in the development stages as closed alpha players test out features and nitpick the bugs. But players wonder if their devices can run the hot fighter of the year when it’s available for all.

The strict two-versus-two style in the trailer hinted that MultiVersus might be released for consoles. According to WarnerBros., MultiVersus will be available for all, including PC. 

Will MultiVersus be playable on PC? 

PC players can rejoice as MultiVersus will be available to play on almost all gaming platforms and devices, the developer has confirmed.

PC players can also team up with their friends to enjoy the ultimate crossover of mighty heroes and villains. Those on computers can join the fun via Steam. The game will likely be free to play on Steam with in-game purchases, but nothing is known for sure yet. 

When does MultiVersus release?

The exact release date of MultiVersus is unknown, but it will be available to play sometime in 2022. The closed beta has already started, so players should expect to get their hands on WarnerBros.’ highly-anticipated fighter sometime in the latter half of the year.
