Pokemon Presents celebrated Pokemon Day with a handful of new game and event announcements. The most exciting was a reveal at the end for a game called Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Here’s everything we know so far.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is a new Legends-style game that will bring trainers to Lumiose City. This big city was first introduced in Pokemon X & Y and it will now be the entirety of where Z-A takes place.
Within Lumioise City, it appears that there’s a massive redevelopment plan underway. It’s unclear what this entails but it seems like the city is being rebuilt to allow Pokemon and humans to co-exist.
Pokemon players are guessing they might be helping with constructing and designing the city and its buildings. But we don’t actually know what’s going on.
During the Pokemon Presents, we were given the year 2025 as the release date. There was no specific date, however, so stay tuned.
Z-A is set to be released on “Nintendo Switch systems,” but the exact console wasn’t mentioned.
Pokemon fans were quick to discuss the Nintendo Switch 2, however. The Pokemon Company has followed a pretty strict release timeline that has trainers speculating. Despite saying they may slow down their releases, Game Freak usually has a pretty predictable schedule.
For this reason, some believed that Pokemon Legends: Z-A is skipping 2024 to purposefully align with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2.
