The next Elite Raid is here in Pokemon GO. Wondering what’s in store and how to get these rare Pokemon? Here is your guide to Elite Raids in Pokemon GO.
Mega Rayquaza is the current Elite Raid in Pokemon GO. The event will take place 12 PM PST to 6 PM PST. Mega Rayquaza will appear more frequently in Elite Raids at the following times:
The first set of Eggs are scheduled to appear at 6 AM PST. Unlike previous Elite Raid events, these eggs will not appear 24 hours before.
Elite Raids are more challenging Raid Battles that begin with Raid Eggs. When these eggs hatch, a Raid Boss will appear. These bosses will be around for 45 minutes. You’ll need to take on these challenges in person and you can bring your friends. If you defeat Mega Rayquaza, you have an opportunity to catch it.
Raid Bosses have 20,000 HP, which is a ton of HP so be prepared.
Along with Elite Raids comes event-exclusive Timed Research. You can complete these tasks during the event to earn a Meteorite.
Mega Rayquaza can’t Mega Evolve with just Mega Energy. You’ll need to teach your Raquaza the Charged Attack Dragon Ascent first. This can only be learned by using a Meteorite.
