Valve briefly launches the wrong stickers for the Berlin Major

All doesn’t seem well in the world of Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Several major organizations, including juggernaut Team Liquid, weren’t happy with their stickers for the Berlin Major.

The mistake seems to have been fixed, and all the teams involved with the mix-up have since been given the correct sticker format.

For a time, last year’s stickers showed up for purchase for several teams. Players can purchase stickers of their favorite team, or autographs of their favorite players for cosmetic use in-game.

Famous player Jesper “JW” Wecksell had a bit of fun with the situation, joking that his sticker wasn’t correct either. JW and his team, Fnatic, did not qualify for the major.

Fnatic’s situation heading into the major may have been sketchy, but Team Liquid’s CSGO skills aren’t in question. The North American super-team is the odds-on favorite to win the entire tournament, especially after Astralis’ recent struggles came to fruition.

Astralis are still strong and should be considered among the favorites. However, they simply haven’t been up to their own lofty standards after the “Blastralis” controversy that saw the team eschew bigger competitions in favor of Blast Pro Series events hosted by the same group that owned the Astralis team.

Vitality and star Matheiu “ZywOo” Herbaut are among the challengers to Team Liquid’s reign. The 18-year-old superstar has been playing lights out recently, and could solidify himself as a top CSGO player in this tournament.

Of course, we can’t forget about Olkesandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. The Ukranian star and Natus Vincere would be surprise winners in spite of the team’s great skill, but you can bet s1mple’s going to gunning for the top spot.

All in all, the tournament looks to be very entertaining. Liquid are the favorites. Astralis could have a showing that brings them back to glory. Several outsiders will be primed to make a valiant attempt at raising the trophy, but they’ll need more than just skill and tactics to take down the game’s titans. They’ll need championship quality.
