TusiN leaves DragonX, rumored to join a roster in the LCS

Support Park “TusiN” Jong-ik has parted ways with DragonX amid rumors of possible LCS transfer.

TusiN is no longer part of DragonX, the team that was recently accused of player tampering by KT Rolster. TusiN’s departure doesn’t come as a surprise considering the rumors that he is heading to North America. Korean supports have seen some success in the region, and the best example of that trend would be Team Liquid’s Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in.

TusiN started his professional career back in 2014 with the now-disbanded Incredible Miracle. Despite having few international appearances to his name, TusiN is considered one of the best supports in the LCK. TusiN is a natural leader and shot caller that has been incredibly valuable to his former teams to date.

In the past, TusiN has expressed a desire to play outside of Korea, more specifically in North America. Given his proactive and aggressive style, TusiN would be a great addition for any of the teams in the LCS looking for a new support.

Some rumors place TusiN in Cloud9 or with the newly franchised Immortals team. Out of the two, Cloud9 would seem to be the best fit for TusiN considering that the team has a Korean coaching staff headed up by Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu. He would be replacing Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam, who is allegedly transferring to Evil Geniuses, though new rumors have spoken to that transfer potentially being held up. Zeyzal was the main shot caller for the team at Cloud9 and his style is similar to TusinN’s, so it wouldn’t be too big of a change for the team if they could work around a potential language barrier.

Zeyzal is allegedly transferring to EG alongside jungler Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen and multiple members of the C9 Academy roster. The move would open up one additional import slot for Cloud9 that could then be filled by TusiN.

So far, TusiN is the only player leaving DragonX. The rest of the roster is up for free agency on November 18, but DragonX is yet to make decisions regarding the contracts. The team recently hired controversial head coach Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho, formerly of Griffin. cvMax is known for demanding control over his rosters, and the positive results he created at Griffin speak for themselves.

All transfers will be confirmed after November 18 when the free agency period officially opens.
