Defiance has gone live in Apex Legends, bringing a brand new face to the legends roster in Mad Maggie. But who’s the most popular Apex legend in season 12? 

Apex Legends has been refreshed for season 12 with a brand new legend, an updated outlands, and a new game mode. The legends roster continues to expand each season. Mad Maggie is a welcome addition to Apex’s aggressors, but she seems to be struggling a bit. 

In Season 12, the same old faces are ruling the top positions in the pick-rate. We have compiled a list of most popular Apex legend in season12.

While Defiance brought a new face to the lineup, Octane is still the most popular legend in Apex Legends in 2022. The offensive hero is the most mobile despite the addition of similar legends. 

According to Apexlegendsstatus, Octane is heavily picked for his aggression and wild abilities in the recent season. The massive outlands of Apex are nothing for this beast who can stim around the arenas. His launch and healing powers make him self-sufficient. It’s no surprise that 12.6% of the players choose to play Octane in season 12.

Surprisingly, five out of the top ten legends are from the original roster. Octane beats Wraith by just 0.5% among the top-picked legends list in Season 12. The interdimensional skirmisher is another offensive legend that creates portals and warns teammates of danger before it strikes. Wraith has netted a pick rate of 12.1% with her powerful kit, becoming the second most popular legend. 

Bloodhound is another original legend in the top three, with 10.1% picking him across the game. Seer’s popularity was short-lived as players still prefer the plague doctor. The robotic Pathfinder remains a player favorite who refuse to be held down by the latest recon legends. Valkyrae, Horizon, and Ash are also seeing plenty of time in Defiance. All three are picked by less than 5% of the players, but they’re in the top 10.

Unsurprisingly, Mad Maggie isn’t the least-picked legend on the Apex Legends roster. Despite being new, she’s beaten the likes of Mirage, Wattson, Seer, and others. Players seem to love her unbridled anger and aggression that she funnels into her Riot Grill and a Wrecking Ball. She has the power to expose enemies, pace up on shotgun, and bulldoze enemies to death. All of these things contribute to her being picked more often.
