Baldur’s Gate 3 can be quite challenging depending how you decide to play the game. While there’s a main storyline there are also side quests to explore, some that are more difficult than others.
If you are looking to make your adventure tougher, whether it’s tricky puzzles or rough boss fights, here are the hardest quests in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Dribbles the Clown
No quest list is complete without Dribbles the Clown, a strenuous fetch quest that is tedious and tough to get through. You initially find out that Dribbles is murdered but then you must find the clown’s body parts scattered throughout various locations in Act 3. It’s a huge time-suck as you continue to loot bodies, chests, crates, and other objects around a massive amount of land.
The Underwater Prison
If you have Wyll on your team, you will want to head to the Underwater prison to rescue two prisoners. The combat you’ll encounter in this intense location requires a lot of spells, abilities, and potions. You’ll also need to talk strategy with your party beforehand to ensure you have the right gameplan.
Save Mayrina
Even though this quest is in Act 1, it’s quite the doozy. You’ll encounter Auntie Ethel in a seemingly warm and cozy cabin just to find out that she’s an evil hag with a lot of powerful abilities. Following her into the fireplace will lead you to a very horrifying scene full of tormented victims, including some tough fights against unwilling enemies controlled by the hag.
Free the Artist
You’ll first encounter the artist, Oskar Fevras, in the Zhentarim hideout in Act 1. It’s easy to free him but you’ll find out that’s just the beginning of the quest come Act 3. At this point in the game, Oskar has been possessed by a former lover and you can only break the possession by going through an eerie haunted mansion.
What makes this quest even more difficult is that you may even take on an entirely different quest where you find Carrion’s runaway servant, Thrumbo. Then, if you do a quest to help Thrumbo, you can have him perform an exorcism on Oskar to free him from the possession.
