Dry Bowser has a base speed of 4.75 but he can reach 5.75 with the right kart combo. His weight class is also 4.25, the same as Wario. Basically, Dry Bowser gets all of the benefits of a heavy character but also has the stats of a lighter player to create the ultimate racer.

With Dry Bowser, you have handling, traction, and speed — but also durability so you can’t be impacted by other players as much. This has made Dry Bowser one of the best characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s competitive scene.

If you want to be the most consistently fast racer in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you need more than a popular racer. Dry Bowser needs the right kart combo to really stay ahead of the competition.

You’ll first want the B Dasher kart. It’s part of the first DLC pack and can be unlocked when you have the right amount of coins. The B Dasher kart has a lot of speed, acceleration, and traction but handling is decreased.

Add the Wario Wing Glider and Slick tires (or the Metal tires). These tires improve Dry Bowser’s handling and traction while the Wario Wing glider gives him a fast setup. This combination will work great with Dry Bowser, giving you a one of the most consistently speedy and race-ready karts in the game.
