In a surprise update, Valve opened up Dust 2’s B site to new executes by letting players throw utility into the bombsite from upper tunnels. After years of community requests, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive developer has finally made it possible for the T side to execute onto B just like they would most any other site in the game.

While Valve has made a Dust 2 B site execute possible, they didn’t necessarily make easy. Some of the openings in the famous maps’ upper tunnels are tough to work around, with the difference between a successful smoke and one that leaves players uncovered being minute.

Many times a smoke will bounce back instead of hitting site, or will occasionally pass through what looks like a solid board.

The grenades listed below are meant to be simple throws that take little time to line up, in order to minimize the risk. Even though these are fairly simple, players should always take a few minutes to practice them.

One last note: The Ts have to keep a solid watch on lower tunnels and the entrance to B site. Some of the smokes require the player to be in line of sight to the B Site entrance, so executing right before a CT smoke in the choke point fades is the best option.

CSGO’s Dust 2 B Doors smoke from upper tunnels

Besides the window smoke, door is the most finicky smoke that a player will throw. There is no point of reference for the perfect one, but practice helps and a toggleable crosshair does wonders. Start by risking the chokepoint cross, line up as shown below, crouch and left-click throw while still crouched.

The resulting smoke blooms inside the door and limits the chance a CT can sneak through like with some other versions. It also doesn’t block barrels, letting the Ts enter the site seeing exactly what they want to.

Best plat smokes for Dust 2’s new B site skybox executes

Players can use two smokes to block off the platform for a quick scrim out of B tunnels. They don’t even have to cross the choke. Each line up is very similar, so we’ll show both wall smokes one after the other.

Platform smokes block any enemy player on plat, forcing them to either flash the smoke or sit and wait. The players who throw the two platform smokes are also responsible for flashing the sites. Ts can use the exact same lineups they used for the plat smokes. By this time, the player who smoked door and has held for a push will enter the side.

Line up against the wall behind the first pillar by T spawn and aim in between the two beams show below. Do the same with the next smoke. Both are normal left-click throws.

The fifth player has several options. Holding lower for a push is fine, but dumping some utility down cat, over long, or through mid to hold rotations is best.

WIth three smokes used, the Ts should have two left. The one on the lurker can be used as he sees fit. A cat smoke or the common mid to B CT smoke works well here. Since the execute leaves window open, that’s where all players should exit looking towards.

The final smoke is for the incendiary grenade that the CTs will thrown into tunnels. Be ready for it.

The flashes will help push the player either out of window into middle where the lurk is waiting or back into the site where they’re vulnerable to Molotovs.

Setting fire to plat on the way out is advised as well. Molotov platform, swing wide and close to the smokes to check car, and have someone hold B door. The bombsite is now yours.

Dust 2’s B site is now a fun sight to hit. We found almost fifty different smokes by combining boosts, crouch throws, jump throws, and everything in between.
