The Finals power shift

Power Shift is the new game mode in The Finals for Season 2. It’s a lot different than the usual game modes so you might want to use a different team composition and build. Here’s our guide on the best builds for Power Shift mode in The Finals.

What is the Power Shift mode in The Finals?

The Power Shift is a new game mode for The Finals. It has a platform that follows a set path on the map, breaking buildings and going higher and lower as it goes forward. The team who gets control of the platform and then rides it to their side of the map will win. On top of that, if a team earns more cash than the other by controlling the platform, they will win regardless of the mode’s timer.

Like other game modes, random events will also keep happening as the match progresses. This includes the usual, like Low Gravity and Orbital Lasers.

To make this game mode more dynamic, you can change your class build while you’re waiting to respawn. This will ensure that teams can adapt when certain scenarios happen, creating more competitive opportunities. There are also unlimited respawn credits so you can keep jumping into the action, allowing for aggressive strategies.

Best team composition for The Finals

A meta has formed in Power Shift based on the new strategies that work for Power Shift rather than Quick Cash and Bank It. Right now, teams are using two to three Heavyweights due to the amount of defense needed to remain on the platform. The remaining team members should be Medium so they can use Healing Beams and Defibrillators to keep their team alive and tanky on the platform.

So should you use Lights in Power Shift? Lights have great mobility, allowing their team to get to the platform faster. But the lower HP and amount of Heavies on the enemy team make this build less effective in this game mode.

Best loadouts for Power Shift

If you’re looking to make a big impact in Power Shift, you’ll want to bring the right gadgets with you.

Heavies: This build should be focused on defending the platform. Bring gadgets with you that can protect your team and ensure enemies have a tough time attacking.

Mediums: These versatile fighters are great for keeping their team alive and providing some incoming damage. Keep your build balanced to make sure you can help in a variety of situations.

Lights: If you want to be evasive and mobile, you may want a Light on your team. Use gadgets that will help your team rotate around the map and stay ahead of enemies.

If you find that these loadouts aren’t working for your specific playstyle or team’s strategy, you can always switch out your gadgets after you’re eliminated.
