Sojourn animated short coming to Overwatch 2

Ahead of Invasion, Overwatch 2 is dropping more lore in the form of an animated short about Sojourn.

Sojourn is the newest DPS hero, released at the start of Overwatch 2. While she’s been hinted at since the first game, not a lot is known about her. Now, developers want to give fans a small taste of Sojourn’s lore.

In a tweet dropped earlier today, developers announced an animated short called “Calling.” It will be available in full inside Overwatch 2 on August 4 at 11 AM PST.

What do we know about Sojourn in Overwatch 2?

Right now, we only have a very small clip of the upcoming short. It shows Sojourn looking with concern at old photos of her with other members of Overwatch, memories of when she was a ranked captain in Overwatch.

The man in the video asks Sojourn what she’s been doing since Overwatch was terminated, clearly suspicious of her. It then cuts to some quick clips of her still fighting Omnics. But when asked about her whereabouts, she claims she was home with her dog, Murphy.

It’s safe to say that fans are just as excited about learning about Sojourn’s badass secret adventures as well as seeing more of her adorable dog.
