Snappi may join fourth team in a month with move to c0ntact

For the fourth time in the last month, Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer seems to have found himself a new home.

According to a report from HLTV, the Danish player is set to be transferred to c0ntact Gaming. If the deal is signed, it would end a month of his being bounced between competing organizations. This follows the player announcing that he now has split from Astralis:

Was an honor to play with the @astralisgg guys. Sad I couldn’t show my best level, but we tried our best under the circumstances. Only love for the boys @zonic @dev1ce @MagiskCS @dupreeh @JUGiOfficial

Just one month ago, Snappi was a member of Heroic. His tenure with the team ended by his being transferred to Mongolia’s TIGER organization, but he never actually played for that team. Though the organization was set to add both Snappi and Owen “smooya” Butterfield, a winning streak from its current Mongolian lineup prompted a reversal and the departure of the two incoming international players.

During his time on TIGER’s bench, Snappi found himself an unlikely addition to Astralis’ roster. Denmark’s top team decided to bring him in on loan as a transitional player between Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth and Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, with the former player on hiatus due to burnout and the latter waiting for his current contract to expire.

Though it initially seemed as though Snappi had a chance to earn a full-time spot on Astralis’ roster, it appears Astralis is fully committed to es3tag as its new fifth man and is confident that it won’t see yet another player need replacing after taking a break from competition.

c0ntact Gaming in desperate need of shakeup from Snappi

The c0ntact Gaming organization entered into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in January by signing the roster of CR4ZY and was later revealed to be a founding member of Flashpoint. c0ntact is owned by Drew McCourt, who also holds the Paris franchises in the Overwatch League and the Call of Duty League.

Though the lineup enjoyed a fair degree of success as CR4ZY, the team has fallen off hard since the move to c0ntact. The roster currently stands as follows:

c0ntact finished in ninth place in Flashpoint Season 1 and last in the ESL Road to Rio Europe division. Most recently, c0ntact washed out of the group stage of #HomeSweetHome: Week 5.

The team’s current level of performance won’t cut it with cs_summit 6 and other prominent events fast approaching. It is unclear which player might be ushered out of the team in order to make room for Snappi.
