Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is pretty darn good at Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The Natus Vincere star has long been wowing fans and frustrating opponents with his huge playmaking abilities. While his baseline has always been high, sometimes he manages to outdo even his own expectations. That happened recently in a FACEIT Pro League game in which he racked up an obscene 58 kills.

The full stats on the FACEIT match page are no less flattering when it comes to his gunslinging skills. While racking up the 58 kills he died 20 times, which was good for a gaudy 2.9 K/D ratio. Though he didn’t get any aces, he notched two quad kills alongside six triples. This was rounded out by 10 MVP rounds. Though his totals were padded out by the fact the game went to a 19-16 overtime, he still managed 49 kills in regulation.

It’s worth noting is that this impressive performance wasn’t s1mple jumping onto a smurf account and stomping a bunch of silver players. The game included a slew of professionals from top teams, with opponents including Mousesports’ Robin “ropz” Kool, Ninjas in Pyjamas captain Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, and Gambit Esports entry fragger Nikolay “mir” Bityukov. Even the humble bottom fragger on s1mple’s with a 9-23 score was current Vega Squadron player Dmitriy “Dima” Bandurka.

s1mple might not put up these raw numbers in many professional games, but he has generated more than his share of highlights over the years.

Since joining Team Liquid in 2016, s1mple has been one of the top players in professional CSGO. He transitioned to Natus Vincere later that year and helped better establish the organization as the foremost in the CIS region. Today, the team is regarded as one of the elites of CSGO, with notable first-place finishes including StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7 and ESL One: Cologne 2018.
