Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s legendary professional player Kenny “kennyS” Schrub may be packing to move to Valorant.

The infamous CSGO player exodus to Valorant continues to advance as more players switch games. Most recently, OG’s former rifle Ethan “Ethan” Arnold left to serve Valorant esports, leaving CSGO fans in a shock. The nascent scene of Riot’s shooter is maturing into proper esports, tempting for North American CSGO players missing out on significant events during online format of tournaments. However, KennyS is the biggest name in European esports who has dropped a sly hint about a Valorant switch.

The news of his moving came after a screenshot of Team Alliance’s in-game lobby went viral. The image showed a player named NBKennyS playing alongside the Alliance roster. While the said person could be anyone, the rumors were later flamed by prominent reports. Arran “Halo” Spake took to Twitter and shared that KennyS has been trialing with Alliance for Valorant lineup. The news startled the CSGO fans who were expecting the legendary player to continue his career in Counterstrike.

kennyS considering going pro in Valorant

The French AWPer was most recently benched in G2 Esports after a four-year-long stint with the organization. In his decorated CSGO history, kennyS is primarily honored for his unique AWP style that has transformed the CSGO meta. The 25-year old has a long account in CSGO, which is why fans were hoping that he won’t follow in the footsteps of younger pro players who made the switch.

The AWPer had himself assured that a Valorant switch wasn’t on the cards when he announced his exit from G2 esports.

Despite his earlier statement, the French AWPer jumped in on the buzz bandwagon and uploaded a teaser on his Twitter. Valorant agent Jett’s GIF was enough to bring CSGO fans to their feet, who were eagerly waiting for a dismissal of rumors.

Earlier, it wasn’t certain whether the news was legitimate or another trumped-up story, but KennyS’ recent tweet has undoubtedly added fuel to the fire. The player is likely having fun with fans since he has ensured that the news of his new signing in the CSGO team will be out in a few days. Only time will tell if the CSGO pro scene will lose another legend to Valorant, or KennyS will stay to continue his legacy.

UPDATE:

kennyS has denied the reports of his potentially switching to Valorant.
