PUBG Mobile developers are continuing to fight hackers.

In a recent letter, the operations team released a list of over 100 hackers who were caught between August 6 and August 12. All of the accounts on the list were issued 10-year bans.

“We have always strived to deliver a gaming environment that is fair and enjoyable for each and every player and prevent cheating. We take this issue very seriously, and we would like to remind all players about the importance of fair play,” the team said.

Like its PC counterpart, PUBG Mobile has been dealing with an overabundance of hackers. The issue was first addressed in May of this year, after players kept voicing their concerns over social media.

The operations team then urged players to use the in-game reporting system to report any player that they suspect of cheating or to be using an unauthorized third party app to “dishonestly assist their gameplay in a match.”

Every report is investigated thoroughly, and the player who filed the report will then be informed of the findings.

Types of hacks in PUBG

One of the most common hacks for PUBG Mobile is a wall hack. This makes enemies, vehicles, weapons, and other vital game items visible through walls. This hack not only gives the player a good loadout, but also allows them to surivive quite easily since they can avoid other players. While websites are still offering links to where this code can be downloaded, hacking sites are warning that PUBG has been making attempts towards keeping PUBG more secure since June of 2018.

Automatic aiming bots and apps are another common hack in PUBG Mobile. By simply clicking the shoot button, the player using this cheat will automatically hit their intended target. This difficult hack is created by inserting code into the game client, and is only dectectable by PUBG Mobile’s anti-cheat programs.

While aiming, speed, and vision can be improved through hacks, PUBG Mobile users don’t have access to cheating apps that generate Battle Points or items.

The letter comes to the PUBG Mobile community right as update 0.14.0 became available. This update included Infection Mode, which has zombies and defenders fighting to be the last ones standing. The game mode takes place on an entirely new map.
