Pro CSGO player gets zero kills in a game as Virtus.pro flames out

A pro Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player recently played a match that couldn’t have gone much worse.

On June 26, Virtus.pro played a professional match against Nemiga Gaming in the LOOT.BET Smack My Beach Cup tournament. In the match, Polish player Michał “snatchie” Rudzki managed to finish the first map with zero kills and eighteen deaths.

Belarusian side Nemiga managed to take the best-of-three match by winning both Mirage and Dust2, which gave the team a 2-0 sweep against the Polish squad.

Snatchie was absent throughout the entire first map, not managing to find a single kill for his team. Obviously for a player of his caliber, this is almost unheard of and is likely to be an anomalous game. But that does little to remove the sting of the performance.

Virtus.pro began strongly on Mirage by winning the initial pistol round. However, tides quickly turned against them as Nemiga won a second round eco despite Nemiga not buying a single gun or piece of utility.

It seemed that Virtus.pro were left dazed by the round loss.

After some initial kills from Igor “lollipop21k” Solodkov and Vladimir “ROBO” Neskey in round seven, Virtus.pro had two saving graces in Arek “Vegi” Nawojski and Michał “MICHU” Müller, who both opened up the A site with two kills each.

Virtus.pro did not take this round win in its stride, as the team lost every single remaining round until the match was completed with a score of 16-2 in favor of Nemiga.

The second map was more of the same story as Nemiga managed to take the map 16-8. Snatchie turned his initial performance around by getting fifteen kills to nineteen deaths by the end of the map, though the improvement did little to change Virtus.pro’s fortunes.

Virtus.pro has been struggling recently. With the loss of Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski, the side has continued its steady decline. The Polish side recently finished 10th in the ESEA MDL Season 31 Europe and has looked nothing like the former major-winning team.
