Imane “Pokimane” Anys is the most popular female streamer on Twitch.

The variety streamer has about 8,300 subscribers, which means she earns a minimum of $20,750 per month, or $250,000 a year, from her Twitch subscriptions alone. She also earns ad revenue and donations for her live broadcasts, and has a broadcast deal with Twitch that is likely worth seven figures per year. In fact, Pokimane had an average 11,000 viewers during a recent live stream despite her not using a camera.

But what a lot of people don’t realize is that the money listed above isn’t pure profit. Pokimane recently revealed that she spends a lot of money each month to keep her streaming career running successfully.

What does Pokimane spend per month on Twitch production?

In an interview with YouTuber Graham Stephan, Pokimane recalled that she started off with editors she’d commission but over the years, she wound up hiring a full-time editor. More recently, Pokimane had to hire someone to manage her multiple full-time editors.

Pokimane then broke down her entire business. On top of her video editors and editor-in-chief, Pokimane also has a talent agent, a social media assistant, a general manager who manages her day-to-day, a business manager, and an investment advisor.

Pokimane monthly cost

“Business expense, by far, is what I spend most of my income on,” Pokimane said.

While she hasn’t taken a step back and really calculated the costs, she estimates that she spends between $10,000 and $20,000 a month to pay all of the previously mentioned employees. That means she possibly spends $240,000 per year on her team, but that’s a worthwhile investment for her.

Pokimane’s net worth is estimated to be between $1 and 2 million.

This net worth is thanks to her subscribers, donations, ad revenue on Twitch and YouTube, and sponsorships.

Pokimane revealed in the past that she turned down a $3 million sponsorship deal with an unnamed client, stating that she is “doing well enough” to turn down contracts she doesn’t want to sign. While not many details were shared with the public, it’s safe to say that Pokimane is living comfortably if she was fine turning down such a big sponsorship.

While Pokimane receives a lot of criticism throughout social media, a lot of people appreciated the behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run her full-time streaming business. A lot of viewers said they gained a new appreciation for what Pokimane does. It also offered possible insight into how other big-name streamers operate as well.
