Two-time major winner Nathan “NBK” Schmitt is rolling up his sleeves for Indian organization Revenant Esports to lead a fresh Counter-Strike 2 roster consisting of European players.

Revenant Esports is an India-based organization with a strong presence in the local esports scene. Despite not having achieved global recognition yet, the organization’s CS2 roster secured an impressive first runner-up position in tournaments such as Skyesports Masters 2023 and the DreamHack Hyderabad Invitational 2023.

Stepping away from the Indian scene, the organization has lifted a curtain on a European roster led by NBK, renowned for his ability to build top-tier teams from the ground up.

“Back to the comfort zone with creating a whole roster from scratch with a roster PACKED with talent – we’re improving at a crazy rate, and we have all the parts we need to be successful,” NBK said.

Nivera returns to CS2 under Revenant Esports banner

Revenant’s European lineup boasts some prominent CS2 names, but Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom truly shines alongside NBK. Nivera’s transition to Valorant in 2021 was noteworthy, and his return is welcome by CS2 fans. While his resume is CS2 may not be the shiniest, Nivera has made waves in Riot’s shooter.

He will be playing alongside the French veteran NBK and former Falcons, BLEED, and Sprout player Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea. The roster is completed with Kamil “Reiko” Cegiełko and AWPer Adelin “adeX” Nica. Both players have a long history in CS2 and have played dozens of lower-tier tournaments.

This would be NBK’s chance to prove his mettle at a higher level of CS2 once again. Known as the kingmaker, NBK has a deep history in the French scene for taking newly-minted organizations to great heights as an IGL and a rifler. His shiny track record at LDLC and EnvyUS is proof of that.

This may be his shot at leading underdogs to the Tier-1 or Tier-2 scene of CS2. It remains to be seen if NBK can still replicate the success of LDLC and EnvyUs in Revenant Esports.

Revenant Esports’ CS2 lineup is now:
