Ninja phones Epic during stream to complain about Fortnite hacker
Ninja phones Epic during stream to complain about Fortnite hacker
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins truly has the ear of Epic Games.
The popular streamer demonstrated that during a recent Fortnite stream, where he pulled out his phone to give the company a call. The moment came after he was mowed down by an egregious hacker.
While streaming on Mixer alongside duo partner Malachi “Reverse2k” Grenier, a game came to an abrupt end after both players were killed under suspicious circumstances. Instead of exiting out and starting over, Ninja promptly started spectating the enemy’s feed. It didn’t take long for his suspicions to be confirmed.
For a few minutes, Ninja watched the cheater fly around on a Driftboard making impossibly accurate shots with the Minigun. Though the gun has an incredibly wide spread, the player was able to laser the bullets onto enemies while flying through the air, sometimes hitting targets despite having his sites pointed in the wrong direction. After taking out Ninja and Reverse2k, he had tallied 16 kills in the game.
The player’s accuracy and behavior clearly suggested the use of third-party software, a fact that didn’t sit well with Ninja.
Frustrated by the illegitimacy of the kills, the 28-year-old streamer picked up his phone, called the game developer, and made his complaints known. While waiting for the call to be answered, he warned his viewers that he refused to leave the game until Epic had “taken care of business.”
During the call, he asked that somebody deal with the cheater immediately, encouraging the person on the other end to check out his stream for “definitive proof” of the hacks.
Unfortunately, Epic did not take immediate action and Ninja eventually left the match to ensure they weren’t placed into the same game as the hacker. It is unknown if the player has been banned to this point, or if he remains at large.

Does Fortnite BR have global chat? Here’s how to turn it on
Fariha Bhatti
Fortnite has added a global chat option, and players can finally hear each other mid-match, for better or worse. Text chat is pretty common in multiplayer games because it's an easy way to communicate. Not everyone has a mic or feels like using one, so having a text chat option is often seen as a must-have. The same can not be said about global chat. Most gamers agree such a ...
