A new Star Wars Fortnite event is apparently coming to the live servers quite soon, so here’s everything you need to know.

Fortnite collaborates with all sorts of prominent IPs, from Marvel to anime series like Dragon Ball Z, and even Star Wars. Denizens from a galaxy far, far away have made their onto Fortnite’s island. The Jedi and Sith will be returning to Epic Games’ battle royale, and it will be in the near future, if community sources are to be believed. The new Star Wars Fortnite event is closer than you might expect, and here’s what we know.

Star Wars Fortnite event leaked

Community news source and well-trusted leaker ShiinaBR has said that the next Star Wars event is on its way. They’ve also said it will likely go live sometime between May 2 to May 4. Previous speculation about future Star Wars events brought the idea of force powers to the table. In previous Star Wars events, players have been able to pick up Blaster Rifles and Lightsabers as items for use. Several force powers have already been data-mined from the game, with Force Life, Force Jump, Force Lightning, Force Pull, Force Push, Force Rip, Force Script, and Force Vacuum being already named.

No official announcements have yet been made for the event. Fans can expect a headlining Star Wars character to be added as a character cosmetic just like past events. Strong candidates for this could be Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, or Mace Windu. The next Star Wars event isn’t on the test servers just yet, so its estimated arrival is in early May.

If the leaks are to be believed, this new Star Wars Fornite event will add a new level of Force-reliant combat. Fans looking forwards to that, and the tactics that come with it, will have to wait for next month to start figuring out the new meta.
