Marvel Rivals is currently in closed beta, but players are running into a “CBT keys out of stock” error while trying to redeem their codes.

On July 23, Marvel Rivals’ hotly anticipated closed beta playtest went live. Unlike closed alpha, this wave was supposed to be more inclusive, allowing a larger player base to take a stab at the game. After the registrations for closed beta were shut down, NetEase allowed players to claim the codes by watching Twitch streams.

This system went live on July 25, and many have received Marvel Rivals CBT keys since then. However, players complain that keys are not getting redeemed due to a “CBT keys out of stock” error on the inventory page.

Why can’t I redeem Marvel Rivals CBT key?

If you’re getting CBT keys out error in Marvel Rivals, try redeeming it again after 8 p.m. EDT on PC. The error is due to the game shutting down shop after the set hours.

If you receive a drop while watching a Twitch stream, be sure to claim it immediately on the game’s inventory page to secure your spot in the game. Note that Marvel Rivals CBT keys are limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis, so delaying your claim may result in unavailability.

Rest assured, your keys won’t go to waste. If you get an out-of-stock error, try again the next day at the following times for each platform to claim a key.

Don't panic.

Again, you may want to be quick and beat other players to it. According to Marvel Rivals’ social media, only 50 beta codes are up for grabs, which is not a lot. The event runs from July 25 to 28, so the time limit may make it easier for eager players to get a code.

Note that the first-come, first-served policy likely applies to code redemption, not just drop receipts. This means that if someone redeems their code before you and all 50 codes are claimed, your code may likely expire unredeemed. In other words, it’s not just about being the first to receive a drop but also the first to redeem it to secure your spot.

While drops will get disabled on July 28, players have until August 3 to redeem their codes on paper.
