As time goes on, streamers continue to become some of the most influential people on the internet. One such person is Twitch creator Pokimane, who has seen the likes of Bernie Sanders and Mark Hamil on her streams. Now, she has hosted billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, who took the time to address a rumour.

Did Mark Cuban Bid $200,000 for Pokimane?

On the stream, Mark Cuban confirmed that he was not the person who bid $200,000 for a gaming session with Pokimane. This happened during CDawgVA’s annual charity auction when a gaming session with the creator was up for grabs.

The auction was incredibly successful, with the winner paying $30,700 for the honour. This came as no surprise given that she is the most followed woman on Twitter. But among the losing bids was an offer of $200,000 from a user named Mark Cuban. Given how high the bid was, people immediately believed that it was the billionaire. But he has debunked the rumour.

However, his reason for not bidding is interesting, to say the least.

“That was not me. I would have paid any amount of money. You know it wasn’t me because it (the bid) wasn’t high enough,” he said. The exchange seemed to all be in good fun and wholesome.

Now, some might wonder why the person who bid $200,000 didn’t end up winning the auction. The truth is that many of the bids that came in were either fake or done with stolen credit cards. One bid even went as high as $500,000 but wasn’t genuine so the same can be said of the $200,000 from the fake Mark Cuban.

In the end, fellow Twitch creator Claudia Moneta won the auction and got to play a gaming session with Pokimane. And while Mark Cuban hasn’t collaborated with her just yet, it is always possible that it will happen in the future. And with any luck, it will be done for a good cause.
