MackWood joins TSM after Season X trios win with ZexRow
Mack “MackWood” Aesoph is joining Team SoloMid as the esports organization’s newest Fortnite player.
TSM has announced MackWood’s joining on September 23, just a day after he took the trophy at NA East Fortnite Championship Series Season X, a trios tournament in which he played together with Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro and Jonathan “yung calculator” Weber. ZexRow has been a part of TSM’s Fortnite division since late 2018, but yung calculator is currently teamless.
MackWood started his Fortnite career by qualifying for Winter Royale NA in December 2018. A few months later he was signed by Complexity Gaming for whom he competed as a solo and duo player. His name is known in the community as he won the NA East Scallywag Cup, placed 16th at 2019 Fortnite World Cup Duo Finals, and has been consistently showing strong results in the Fortnite Championship Series trios tournaments.
In the announcement, MackWood shared that he is excited to join TSM and see where his Fortnite career will take him with the organization.
“It has been a super long and exciting journey so far, and now to be in one of the most looked-up-to orgs is an incredible and indescribable feeling,” MackWood said. “I can’t wait to see where my career will go with TSM and can’t wait to share the news with all my fans and supporters.”
Although showing plenty of excitement for the announcement, TSM’s and MackWood’s fans weren’t surprised to hear the news as his new teammate ZexRow had leaked this information ahead of time, as was shared by The Fortnite Guy. During a stream, ZexRow shouted out to his teammates with whom he has won the Championship Series, saying they should be at TSM very soon.
And while MackWood’s signing came quickly afterward, it’s still not clear whether yung calculator will also be joining TSM in the next few days. Fans see no reason why ZexRow would jump the gun on this, and yung calculator’s achievements and experience with some of the TSM Fortnite players would surely be a strong asset to TSM’s Fortnite division.
