Jkaem to join dennis in Apeks

The Norwegian organization Apeks has finalized the transfer of star rifler Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad’s from 100 Thieves.

Happy to announce that I have signed with @apeksgg ✍️

Returning back home to compete for the best Norwegian team, and do everything I can to bring this team up to new heights made this very tempting!

Excited for the upcoming months! https://t.co/eDKHTyAgoj

The reports of the Norwegian rifler’s shift come as a result of 100 Thieves’ abrupt exit from Counter Strike: Global Offensive esports. The North American organization recently announced its departure from CSGO, following back to back losses in major events.

100 Thieves acquired Renegades roster in 2019 and Jkaem has continued to open sites for the team since then. The entry fragger failed to help 100 Thieves win any major tournaments but managed to post a rating of 1.10, the second-highest in his squad after Justin “jks” Savage.

Jkaem was the only non-Australian player in 100 Thieves. In Apeks, he will be joining three fellow countrymen, Ole Kristian “Marcelious” Langan, Sander Nordeide “Grus” Iversen, Nasty, and in-game leader Dennis “dennis” Edman, creating a solid Norwegian roster.

Apeks signs new players as they continue to struggle

Apeks has previously gone through several changes in their lineup and has failed to qualify for any major tournament. Recently the organization benched Erik “truth” Hansen and Kristian “akEz” Kornbakk, and acquired Nasty from 777 on a trial basis. Jkaem will easily be Apeks’ most prized player after dennis, thanks to his extensive experience from playing in tier-1 teams such as FaZe Clan and G2 Esports.

It’s still too early to say who Jkaem will be replacing, but it seems that truth will keep his slot vacant, as he was benched a few days before the news of Jkaem’s transfer surfaced.

Jkaem and Jks move ahead, leaving 100 Thieves with three players in the market.

100 Thieves re-entered CSGO scene in 2019 with their current lineup that they will now be releasing. The organization has previously released its ex-immortals roster. Many players in that lineup ended up in tier-1 teams, including Henrique “HEN1” Teles in Furia, and Vito “kNgV” Giuseppe in MIBR.

This is the first official acquisition of any 100 thieves player after the team’s exit. Reports of Jks transfer surfaced earlier but there has been no confirmation so far. Fans are already waiting for an official announcement of Jks’ transfer to complexity as reports have already confirmed the player’s shift to the roster led by Benjamin “blameF” Bremer.

The team has recently finished playing their final match under 100 Thieves banner which means that news of player transfers should be expected. Jkaem’s move to Apeks will leave Aaron “AZR” Ward, Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai, and Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas in the market.
